Former IFL Light Heavyweight Champion Vladimir "The Janitor" Matyushenko will take on fellow UFC veteran Jason "The Punisher" Lambert at "Call to Arms 1" at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on May 16.

Matyushenko in January had an eight-fight win streak snapped by Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at Affliction: Day of Reckoning in Anaheim, California. Matyushenko was knocked out with a knee in the second round. He had previously only been knocked out once, against Andrei Arlovski at UFC 44 in September 2003. After leaving the UFC on the loss to Arlovski, the Belarusian mixed martial artist made a comeback by tearing through the competition in the IFL as a member of the Tokyo Sabres.

This will be Lambert's first fight outside of the UFC since September 2005. Lambert made his Octagon debut at UFC 58 in March 2006 and fought until UFC 88 in September 2008, splitting eight fights. Lambert holds TKO win over Terry Martin and KO victory over Renato "Babalu" Sobral.

In the other featured bouts, Tiki Ghosn will take on Brian Warren and Daniel Puder will face Jeff Ford.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin will train with current UFC middleweight title holder Anderson "The Spider" Silva for his UFC 99 195-pound catchweight headliner against Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Anderson Silva has defeated Franklin twice inside the Octagon, first at UFC 64 in October 2006 to capture the UFC middleweight title, which he has yet to relinquish, and again at UFC 77 in October 2007.

According to the report, which cited sources close to Anderson while Franklin's manager declined to comment, Franklin will spend some time away from his traditional camp with Matt Hume in Seattle to train with Anderson in California.

After failing to get past Anderson in two attempts, Franklin moved up to the light heavyweight division, where he defeated Matt Hamill in his 205-pound debut before falling to Dan Henderson in the UFC 93 main event in January. Meanwhile, losses in four of his last five fights at light heavyweight have sent Wanderlei packing for the middleweight division. The UFC 99 headliner will be Wanderlei's first test at shedding weight, and he'll face another stiff test in Franklin, who has lost just three times in eleven UFC bouts and held the middleweight belt for more than a year.

The move is likely to further the recent tension between Anderson and Wanderlei and could lead to a matchup between the pair later this year, particularly if Wanderlei is victorious in the UFC 99 main event.

Team Takedown and Cobra Kai members Jake Rosholt, Johnny Hendricks and Shane Roller will all enter the 15th Grapplers Quest in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 9.

The three fighters come from accomplished collegiate wrestling backgrounds and study grappling under Marc Laimon. For Grapplers Quest, they will grapple at a weight division above their respective mixed martial arts weight class.

UFC middleweight Rosholt will hit the mats in the light heavyweight division. His next MMA fight will be against Chris Leben at UFC 102 on August 29. Rosholt lost in his UFC debut in February when he was forced to succumb to Dan Miller's guillotine choke at the 63-second mark.

Hendricks, who will make his UFC debut against The Ultimate Fighter 7 winner Amir Sadollah in a welterweight bout at UFC 101 on August 8, will grapple in the middleweight division.

Rosholt and Hendricks were transferred to the UFC after the WEC phased out its welterweight and middleweight divisions. Roller, a lightweight, stayed on with the WEC.

Roller will compete at Grapplers Quest as a welterweight. The 29-year-old fighter lost earlier this month via TKO to Ben Henderson at WEC 40: Torres vs. Mizugaki.

UFC President Dana White (picture) recently reiterated that Chuck Liddell is done as a fighter following Liddell's first round knockout loss to Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 97: Redemption this past Saturday. In an interview with InsideFighting.com, White noted that while Liddell may be done as a fighter in the UFC, he will still have a role in the organization.

"Chuck Liddell is stupid rich," White said. "Chuck Liddell is done. He's got nothing left to prove. He's the most famous guy on earth. I love him like a fucking brother and I don't want to see him get hurt. There is no reason for it. He's fucking forty years old man. These guys that are fighting now are young, explosive, fast fucking kids who are well rounded mixed martial artists. There's no fucking reason for Chuck Liddell to be out there at forty years old still fighting. I don't want to make a fucking nickel off that ever. Believe me, it will be a fucking war if he tries not to retire, believe me. I love him. He helped me build this business. We started when he was making five hundred and five hundred. And we had the dream of him becoming a big star and winning the title and making all kinds of money."

"We did it all man," White continued. "We fucking did it all. We did it. We did it. It's fucking over. He's forty years old, it is over. It was amazing that he was able to fight until he was forty. That's what a bad motherfucker he was. He has nothing to prove to anybody, period. It's over. We did everything that we set out to do. It has been an amazing run, it's been fun. We did it together, we stayed loyal to each other the whole time and we did everything that we hoped to do and now its over. He can do it financially. And plus, I'm going to bring him into the organization in some other way and he's still going to make money. He's been loyal to me and I've been loyal to him and that's not going to change now that he's retiring. He'll always be a part of the organization. He'll take on another role, he'll still make money and he'll be with me until the day we die."
